The Bluewater District School Board issued a statement in the wake of Monday’s announcement by the province to suspend in-person classes for another two weeks.

Class was to resume on Wednesday before the Ford government pushed back the date to January 17th as part of Step Two in the reopening road map.

The school board says remote learning will be offered to elementary and secondary school students starting Thursday.

They say the board will be reaching out to families who require access to internet or devices.

Child care centres located inside schools will remain open offering free emergency child care to school-aged children of health care and other eligible frontline workers during the two-week period.
