Security guards are on strike at the salt mine in Goderich.
15 of the guards who monitor the property and a portion of the port have been without a contract since the end of January who have now hit the picket lines.
The guards, employed by Logixx Security have a contract with Compass Minerals to provide security and the mine property who are seeking better wages.
Those on strike are members of Local 9597-34 of the United Steel Workers Union.
