The cost to buy a home in Bruce and Grey has gone up.
According to the Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound, the average home in September sold for $703,934 which they say is a 40 percent jump from September of 2020.
The 327 units sold in the month was a decline of 15.5 percent from September of 2020 but was the third highest September total on record.
The dollar value of all home sales in September 2021 was $230.2 million, a gain of 18.5 percent from the same month in 2020, also a new record for the month.
There were 404 new listings, up 3.3 percent from September 2020.
This was the largest number of new listings added in the month of September in more than five years.
