South Bruce OPP announce Plate Recognition & In-Car Camera System

Both systems have been operating in South Bruce since March 14th and will be used as Police continue to see drivers operating vehicles without valid & registered plates.

The Ontario Provincial Police have announced that the South Bruce Detachment has installed and activated the Automatic License Plate Recognition and In-Car-Camera systems in all patrol vehicles.

Both systems have been operating in South Bruce since March 14th.

Police continue to see drivers operating vehicles without valid, and registered license plates.

And although vehicle owners no longer have to purchase validation stickers for their plates, they are still required to be renewed annually or bi-annually.

The fine for driving an expired license plate is $110.
