Suspension orders have been issued to over 1500 elementary and secondary students across Huron-Perth with incomplete immunization records.

Huron-Perth Public Health issued the notices under the Immunization of School Pupils Act who could face suspension starting May 23rd if their records are not updated.

At the start there were 5100 incomplete records but since January 70 per cent of those records have been updated.

Parents who have received a suspension order are asked to make sure their child is up to date on their immunizations, if their child is not up to date to book an appointment at a catch up immunization clinic or if your child has a valid exemption to follow the required steps from public health’s website.
