The writ has yet to drop but Lisa Thompson has launched her campaign for the upcoming provincial election.

The incumbent is running once again for the Progressive Conservatives in Huron-Bruce.

Thompson recently opened her campaign office on Josephine Street in Wingham.

She was there along with Huron Bruce MP Ben Lobb (in phto on left), and outgoing PC MPPs Bill Walker (Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound; not in photo) and Randy Pettapiece (Perth-Wellington; on right) for the official opening.

Thompson has been MPP in Huron Bruce since 2011 and this will be her fourth general election.

She will be up against the Liberal’s Shelley Blackmore, Laurie Hazzard of the New Democrats, and Matt Kennedy of the newly created New Blue Party of Ontario.

Voters head to the polls in June.
