Wiarton Search Warrant Digs Up Drugs

A months long drug trafficking investigation has brought in a series of drugs and two people arrested.

In July the Grey Bruce Community Street Crime Unit began investigation into drug trafficking activity in Wiarton.

Following extensive surveillance a search warrant was gained for a home on Frank Street.

On October 9th the warrant was executed with one person arrested without incident with another arrested the following day.

A search found suspected fentanyl, cocaine and meth.

A 31 year old man of Toronto has been charged with;

  • Possession of identity documents (CC)
  • Fail to comply with probation order (CC)
  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking (CDSA)
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose o f trafficking (CDSA)
  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking (CDSA)

A 58 year old from Wiarton has been charged with;

  • Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking (CDSA)
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking (CDSA)
  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking (CDSA)
