With hot summer weather also brings thunderstorm season across Bruce County.
Officials say with the return of consistency of thunderstorms the public needs to stay safe as lightning strikes remain as a leading cause of weather related deaths in Canada as outdoor recreation and workers at the highest risks.
Most strikes happen in open areas or under trees.
The County says the safest place to be during a thunderstorm is inside, to stay away from windows and to avoid small shelters like picnic pavilions as you should be in a fully enclosed space like a building or vehicle.
