Drop-In at The Bridge is putting an $88,200 grant to the good use from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Wes Larson, Executive Director at Drop-In says they got 700 pounds of frozen food from No Frills at the start of January which went directly to support local families.
The one year grant received was key to opening a free food store to address food insecurity and build a food program and offer free cooking classes for families.
Last year, the Ontario Trillium Foundation invested more than $110 million into 1044 community projects and multi sector partnerships.
