Hike for Hospice event surpasses fundraising goal

The Huron Shores Hospice has surpassed its fundraising goal at the Hike for Hospice event.

169 people participated in the hike on Saturday which saw $78,488.96 raised.

Their original goal was $60,000.

In a news release, the top team was the Nuclear Powered Design Team with $18,997 followed by the Bruce Power Operational Project Services with $10,322.91.

The top three individual fundraisers were: Shelley Parker ($6,822.68), David Kennedy ($5,760.50), and Keith Battler ($3,086.00).

Co-Chair Cheryl Cottrill says they are so grateful for the tremendous support from the community.
