Kincardine Hosts Business Networking Event Focused on Inclusion in Community

The Municipality of Kincardine hosted a Business Networking Event yesterday at the Davidson Centre focused on inclusion, diversity, equity and access, also known as IDEA

Speakers included Sharon Woods, Chair of the Kincardine Accessibility Advisory Committee and Jennifer Lawrie, Clerk & Staff Support at the organization who presented actions businesses can take to increase accessibility.

Lori Fioze, Manager of Strategic Initiatives, provided an overview of the IDEA strategy and summarized what’s been heard through the community consultation to date.

Cherie Leslie, Community Economic Development Coordinator provided an update on ED program, including the development of a Housing Action Plan. She also provided a brief overview of grants and resources of interest to the business community.
