Kincardine Mayor Glover issues Statement Following Integrity Commissioners Report

Council accepted report and reprimanded Councilor Cuyler for his breach, formally denounced his actions and suspended his pay as a Councilor for 90 days.

Kincardine Mayor Gerry Glover issued a statement last night in regards to the Integrity Commissioner that had been appointed to provide advice to Council in respect to it’s adherence to the Code of Conduct.

The issue was in regards to complaints regarding possible breaches of the code by members of Council.

In the statement Glover advised that Council has received the report regarding the events of the April 4th Council meeting and Councilor Dave Cuyler.

The report was presented at Monday night’s meeting.

Council accepted the report and reprimanded Councilor Cuyler for his breach, formally denounced his actions and suspended his pay as a Councilor for 90 days.

Mayor Glover closed the statement by saying that the Municipality is committed to achieving the highest standards of conduct in its actions adding it’s essential to maintaining and ensuring public trust and confidence in the Municipality’s decision-making and operations.
