Ontario Now Permitting Sale of Local Craft Beer at Farmers’ Markets

Entire brewing process must take place in Ontario to be eligible among other criteria.

The Provincial Government made the announce that they say will support jobs in the Hospitality and Agriculture sector by allowing eligible local breweries to sell their beer at Farmers’ Armets.

This expansion was announced in the 2021 Ontario Budget and they say is part of the government’s commitment to support brewers, winemakers and distilleries who work in the Province’s alcohol manufacturing industry and help them respond to impacts of Covid-19.

The process will involve eligible breweries to apply to extend their on-site stores to sell at farmers’ markets.

Brewers full brewing process must take place in Ontario at their own brewery to take part in the program.
