Police: Don’t trespass at Southampton landfill

Saugeen Shores Police is reminding to the community not to visit the Southampton landfill after hours or you could face trespassing charges, as two people found out this week.

Officers tracked down two people hiding in the landfill on Tuesday at 5 a.m. Both parties were charged and one faces an additional count for possession of property obtained by crime.

Police say the landfill is private property and all items within are technically owned by the municipality.
