South Bruce OPP say they have not received any complaints from residents who may have received a call regarding their bank accounts.

Police in West Grey say there is a scam out there believed to be targeting those who may have donated to the freedom convoy through crowdfunding sites such as Go Fund Me.

Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff had indicated that some of his constituents have received such communications.

Up until Wednesday, the federal government had implemented the emergency act that would allow banks and other financial institutions to freeze the accounts of those connected the convoy.

Police say if you do receive call claiming that your bank account is frozen to contact your bank directly and don’t give away any personal information over the phone or email to anyone you don’t know.
