Today is Parachute’s National Injury Prevention Day across Canada.
The sixth event of its kind, the day aims to raise awareness about the effects of predictable and preventable injuries by encouraging organizations to light up their local landmarks in green.
According to Parachute, unintentional injury is the No. 1 cause of death of Canadians ages 1 to 34.
